Personal Branding Photography for Delightful Living, Eyam
I first photographed Anna and Paul, owners of Delightful Living in Eyam, Derbyshire, in August 2024.
They needed a small collection of personal branding images to accompany an article written by Fiona Stubbs for Reflections Magazine, celebrating the quiet strength of the women of Eyam. From the moment we met, the process felt easy and collaborative, the best foundation for meaningful branding photography.

A space that reflects the brand
Their home and gift shop in Eyam is one of those places that stays with you long after you’ve left. Calm, thoughtful, beautifully curated.
It’s a true treasure trove of gifts, homeware and seasonal pieces, all chosen with care and intention. That sense of calm and quality is central to their brand, and it was important that their personal branding photography reflected who they are, not just what they sell.

Why personal branding matters in small communities
In a small, tourist-focused village like Eyam, personal branding matters more than people often realise.
Visitors may only encounter a business briefly. Online, through press coverage, or while planning a trip. The way a business presents itself visually plays a huge role in whether someone feels drawn in or simply scrolls past.
That first shoot wasn’t about selling products. It was about capturing presence, personality, and values.

A natural next step
After that initial session, Anna and Paul kindly left me the most generous Google review:
“Helen was an absolute dream to work with. Great direction and guidance throughout the photo shoot and we are over the moon with the end results. Beautiful images that represent us and our brand so well… Warm, friendly and professional throughout.”
So when they decided to sign up for my 12-month personal branding photography package from November 2024, I was beyond delighted.
This long-term approach allows businesses to update their branding imagery throughout the year. Ideal for brands like Delightful Living, where seasonality plays such an important role.
Creating a consistent personal brand over time
Over the year, we planned and photographed: Spring imagery, Summer imagery, Autumn imagery and Christmas imagery
Each shoot built quietly on the last, creating a consistent and recognisable visual identity, rather than a one-off refresh.
This kind of continuity is where personal branding photography really comes into its own.

The wider impact of branding photography
One of the greatest privileges of long-term branding work is seeing what happens after the images are used.
For Anna and Paul, the impact has gone far beyond social media. Their updated imagery has supported press opportunities, with features in Derbyshire Life and English Home magazines, both using photographs from our sessions.

Professional branding images don’t just make a business look good. They help it be taken seriously, opening doors that aren’t always visible at the start.
At the end of December, Anna sent me this message:
“Working with you has been brilliant and has opened up so many opportunities for us… that kind of publicity is gold for a small business like ours.”
Anna is a wonderful champion of other small businesses, and it’s been a real pleasure to support her and Paul in this way.
Looking ahead
Since I last saw them, two exciting things have happened.
They’ve taken on a second premises in the Eyam Hall Courtyard, and they’ve booked me for a second year on my 12-month photography programme for 2026.
I really couldn’t ask for more. I can’t wait to get started again and to see where the next year takes them.
