The best thing about working with other creatives The best thing about working with other creatives is the collaboration. I’ve been photographing Lisa of @elsie.moss.botanical regularly for over a year. We’ve got to know each other well, and I love that every shoot has a slightly different focus. This time, we were creating product header images for Lisa’s website. We picked the flowers and greenery together, played around with ideas and gradually built the finished look. I love a shared creative process, helped enormously by the fact that our creative instincts are so well aligned. Not bad for a photographer who claims adamantly not to be a product photographer!

I don't shout much about it on Instagram, but did you know that I photograph quite a few corporate teams? Sometimes over a full day, and sometimes for 20 minutes, whenever you need me (with some notice). These images have been taken over 3 separate shoots for the senior leadership team at Godfrey Care in Derby. I’m always happy to meet you to take a small set of images for your social media, website, PR and marketing.

Before Chloe contacted me, she had thoroughly researched brand photographers across the Midlands. By the time we spoke, she had already decided that my work and I were the right fit for her. @chloethompsonpilates is a comprehensively trained Clinical Pilates instructor, offering highly personalised 1:1 and 1:2 sessions from her home studio in Derby. Her work is professional and carefully tailored to each client. Her new images needed to have the same level of expertise and care, and now they do. And I really don’t just do headshots! This has been my July so far - A shoot with - - The wonderful owners of @adornchesterfield , Chesterfield’s best independent Jewellers. - Frances and her all women team at Navigate Accountancy, at their new home on Chatsworth Road - Teresa, a psychotherapist business owner who is moving her business into online education for professionals - @bronwynbenstead in her yoga and pilates studio, @goodfolc in Hasland - Susanna of @little_bowboutique at her brand new shop in Matlock - Hayley and her team at @s42cafe in Chesterfield - @melarchbouldcloudbusting , updating her professional images at Casa Hotel - Caroline’s sunset shoot for her wellness business at Padly Gorge @wellwithnature.uk - Two different therapists in the studio, Lynne and Carol. Both wonderful! - @delightfulliving in Eyam, roping in loads of friends to model as customers (@dawnelizabethrudd @yellowbird_comms here you are!) - Sarah in the studio, a lovely translator for her new website - @touchofcalm_ at her home Holistic Therapy space - An extended family shoot in a grandparents’ beautiful garden at sunset - Theresa and the team, updating her images at the @thegoldsmith.clinic in Chesterfield - Louisa at various locations, building her modelling portfolio - Tom and Emily at @peakandstonebakery - dream morning! Did you spot the boring headshots? I’m making a point, of course. I do at least a few proper headshots on most shoots, but it’s always so much more than that. And definitely never boring! I couldn’t do this much every month but July has been amazing, I’ve loved every minute of it.
