How good does it feel when everything in your business finally starts to look and feel like you? That’s exactly what I set out to achieve during this recent branding shoot. Creating images that truly reflect my client’s personality, style, and business story.
Understanding the Vision for Perfect Peaks Patisserie

Before picking up the camera, we spent some time chatting about what was missing from her visual marketing and how she wanted people to feel when they saw her brand online.
It’s so important to get this part right. Brand photography isn’t just about taking “nice pictures.”
It’s about making sure your images align perfectly with your business aesthetic and help you connect with the right audience.
We looked closely at her brand colours, style, and the type of imagery that would help elevate her online presence. The goal was to create a collection that felt authentic, confident, and cohesive.
Laying the Foundations

For our initial two-hour shoot, we covered lots of ground. We photographed her in her workspace, captured her products, and showed her process in action.
These first sessions are always about building confidence and finding the right rhythm, discovering what feels natural in front of the camera and which settings best reflect your brand story.
Refining the Visual Story

We followed up with two one-hour shoots, each with a clear focus. Before each session, we reviewed which images had performed best from the previous shoot,, the ones that really resonated with her audience and planned how to build on that success.
This approach helps every round of photos feel purposeful, giving you new content that works harder for your marketing.
We also used these shorter sessions to experiment with new backdrops, props, and compositions. Keeping things fresh while staying true to her visual identity.
Why Ongoing Brand Photography Matters

Brand photography isn’t a one-off investment. It’s an evolving part of your business that grows with you. As your goals shift or your brand evolves, so should your imagery.
Having a library of high-quality, on-brand photos means you always have something fresh to share. Whether it’s for your website, newsletters, or social media.
It also builds trust and recognition. When clients see consistent, authentic visuals, they connect more deeply with your message and are more likely to remember you.

These sessions were such a joy to work on. Watching my client gain confidence with each shoot and seeing their visuals come together so beautifully is one of my favourite parts of what I do.
